How Early Morning Workouts Can Up Your Fitness Game

Anyone who’s ever worked out in the morning knows it’s a surefire way to feel amazing all day long, but the benefits don’t stop there! Putting in strong work during the early hours of the day helps with everything from eating more healthily to burning more fat to sleeping more soundly.

Working out in the early morning could improve your relationship with food and overeating throughout the rest of the day! According to a study published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, the brains of women who performed physical activity for 45 minutes in the morning were less stimulated by images of food.

Most of us have heard that our bodies continue burning calories even after a workout (especially one that uses slow-twitch muscle fibers like HSM | Core). What’s more, as you eat throughout the day, your metabolism is still working hard and using that food as a source of energy, rather than storing it for later (and eventually turning into adipose tissue, AKA fat).

Better sleep is another side effect of a refreshing morning sweat sesh. The National Sleep Foundation notes 7:00 a.m. gym-goers “sleep longer, experience deeper sleep cycles, and spend 75 percent more time in the most reparative stages of slumber than those who exercise [at later times].”

Last but not least, scheduling your workouts for the morning means you can’t blow off your fitness at the end of a long work day (we’ve all been there), so sign up for your next early morning burn here!

In all reality, though, working out at HSM | Core will help you get stronger, build lean muscle, increase cardiovascular endurance, burn fat and improve flexibility — no matter what time of the day works best for your schedule!
