Metabolism, researchers found that drinking just over two cups (500 ml) of water boosts your metabolic rate by 30%! According to JCEM, doing nothing
but drinking 2 liters of H2O each day caused the healthy, normal-weight participants to burn nearly 100 calories.
But don’t go chug a few gallons after reading this — itispossible to overdo it. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine determined women should take in
an average of 11.5 cups of total water a day from all beverages and foods. Men should consume about 15.5 cups daily. Those who are very active may
need to consume even more water to replenish their fluids after a sweat session.
